5. Subscriptions and Payments

5.2 Paid Subscriptions

5.3 Automatic Renewal

6. User Content

You retain full ownership of all content you create and store on NovelCraft, including your novel chapters, project outlines, and writing (collectively, "User Content"). We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your User Content.
6.2 License to Host
By uploading or creating User Content on our platform, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. This license terminates when you delete your content or close your account.
6.3 User Representations
You represent and warrant that:
- Your User Content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights
- Your User Content does not violate any applicable law or regulation
- Your User Content does not contain malicious code, viruses, or harmful components
6.4 AI-Generated Content
Content generated by our AI writing assistant is owned by you, subject to applicable law. AI-generated content may unintentionally resemble existing works. You are solely responsible for reviewing and editing AI-generated content before publication. We make no warranty that AI-generated content is original or non-infringing.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or any other user's account
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
- Use the Service to generate, store, or distribute content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access or interact with the Service without our express permission
- Circumvent any technological measures implemented to protect the Service
8. AI Usage and Limitations
8.1 AI Service Limitations
Our AI writing assistant is provided "as is." The AI may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate content. You are responsible for reviewing and editing all AI-generated content before use or publication.
8.2 Fair Use
Free tier accounts are subject to reasonable usage limits on AI API calls. We reserve the right to cap, throttle, or restrict AI usage if we determine usage is excessive or abusive.
8.3 Data Privacy for AI
Content submitted to the AI is processed temporarily for the sole purpose of generating requested output. We do not use your content to train or improve AI models. See our Privacy Policy for more details.
9. Intellectual Property
9.1 Service Ownership

- Service interruption or loss of content
- Cost of procurement of substitute services
- Damages arising from AI-generated content
Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so the above limitations may not apply to you.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. WE SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIM ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any content generated by the Service.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless NovelCraft, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service in violation of these Terms
- Your User Content that infringes third-party rights
- Your violation of applicable laws or regulations
14. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using account settings. Upon termination:
- Your access to the Service will cease
- Your User Content will be permanently deleted within 30 days (unless required to be retained by law)
- Any prepaid fees will not be refunded (except as required by applicable law)
Sections on ownership, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution shall survive termination.
15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
15.1 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
15.2 Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiations. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Singapore in accordance with the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) Rules. The language of arbitration shall be English.
15.3 Class Action Waiver
Any dispute resolution proceedings shall be conducted on an individual basis only, and not as a class, consolidated, or representative action.
16. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified to you via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Service and terminate your account.
17. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and NovelCraft regarding your use of the Service, superseding any prior agreements or understandings.
